Helix 42 stands where academia meets industry, where theory becomes system design, and where quantum leaves the lab.
Quantum Computing (QC) is not going to replace classical systems; it will grow alongside them to unlock computational power never seen before. As this technology matures, we need a unifying and cohesive approach to bridge the gap between the two computing paradigms to bring utility to the users.
This is where we come into play, creating cutting-edge engineering solutions that close the gap and drive innovation.
The current quantum landscape is scattered throughout a plethora of different technologies, whose manufacturers push for a vertical adoption in a lock-in fashion. Moreover, QC devices are still in the early stage of development, seen as a monolithic entity. The present complexity thus prevents the integration with classical workloads. This scenario forces users to gain in-depth knowledge of the inner workings of a specific device and limits portability.
By creating an unified view of abstracting classical and quantum technologies, and by leveraging knowledge of their state and usage, we aim at solving the issue of static and inefficient scheduling of hybrid jobs. The improved observability flow from the hardware up will enable a dramatic boost in scheduling, contributing to an increased energy awareness and efficiency for every workload.
Our tunable platform lets the user define their own tradeoff between costs (e.g., compute time, energy, security) and quality of the final solution. A highly optimised and precise solution will take longer to compute, while a suboptimal one may still produce sound results in a much shorter time and with less energy consumption. By factoring quantum systems in classical workflows we are enabling multiple entry points for cost reduction.

Hactar is a quantum-classical hybrid orchestration platform, designed around our advanced workload scheduling technology that optimises performance, cost, and energy efficiency. Its intelligent scheduler lays the foundation for managing workloads across classical and quantum resources.
Hactar also aims to enable quantum simulation, on-demand quantum capabilities, and quantum computing on-premises as these technologies mature. Already today, its optimal scheduler can be applied to existing classical infrastructures, such as Kubernetes clusters, to deliver improved efficiency and cost savings.
Adopting quantum technologies can feel complex and uncertain, the landscape is evolving fast, and reliable guidance is hard to find. We help companies and professionals cut through the noise and take their first confident steps into the quantum era.
Our tailored onboarding and pilot programs make it easier to explore, experiment, and identify real business value in quantum applications. We support you across key areas such as quantum-ready infrastructure, security, and regulatory navigation, ensuring your organisation is prepared for the opportunities ahead.
